Hi David,

This is the post that "got me", and makes me think you have a great future in blogging. If you can keep this "attitude" and provide your readers with provocative content, you will be on your way to great success.

Getting to the front page of Digg is one thing, but the question then remains, how loyal will that traffic be. Spikes in traffic are great to see, but they go away, only to leave us with loyal readers. If we sacrifice our ethics in a quest to be "front page" news, eventually even our loyal readers will disappear, one by one.

Hey David,
I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. About a year ago I spent time trying to get my blogs on digg etc.. and once I did I learned that the traffic I was getting was useless. They came, they saw and they left. I'm taking a new approach with my new blog. All though I still submit my posts to these sites I'm not trying to get the 'digg effect' but rather get some backs links from them. My approach this time around is to write really good useful content in hopes that people will find me and after only of about a week 'in business' I can say that so far so good. :)

Nice blog too!
